Fw: "Button Up Vermont" for Groton, Ryegate, Newbury-Wells River

Set out below is a condensed version of the goals and agenda for a 'Button Up Vermont' session at BMU school at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, October 22nd. Attached electronically is the long, two page version.

The workshop is conducted by Michael Kennedy of Barnet who is a certified energy auditor and will show residents how our buildings lose energy, no cost measures to reduce energy use, as well as do-it-yourself energy saving tips.

The event is sponsored by the Central Vermont Community Action Council, with funding from the State of Vermont Agency of Human Services, in partnership with the Vermont Energy and Climate Action Network, and, Efficiency Vermont.

There will be hand out materials available for those who can't stay for the entire workshop.

If you can't attend please spread the word about this important event that is free to the public and can save residents money, energy, and, lives this winter.

Workshop Goals


 The goals of the Button Up workshop are to improve residents' understanding of: How your home loses energy; some of the most cost-effective solutions for saving energy; an understanding of what you can do yourself and when you need a professional; some basic weatherization and energy conservation tips; health and safety issues associated with improving efficiency; and, technical and financial resources available.
