Energy Assessment Team Minutes, June 9, 2009

Meeting opened at 7:30 p.m.

Attending:
Tom Williams, Dave Root, Royce Thompson, Liane Allen, Linda Ide

Dave Root submitted a final draft of the Assessment Worksheet, with a note to add Liane Allen’s suggestion, “Phantom Loads.”

We’ve agreed that we’d like to start with the Town Garage. To accomplish the assessment, we’ll have a team of at least four people (Tom, Dave, Royce, and Linda, and anyone from the Energy Committee who’s interested). We’ll divide into two teams and each group will take half of the worksheet to use.

Tom will contact Bob Beaulieu and ask if a Saturday or Sunday, Aug. 2 – 3 or Aug. 8 – 9, will work for our visit. He will stress that we’d like Bob to attend the assessment and make suggestions. His input is vital to our success.

We’ll aim to keep the assessment to one hour, although we should warn Bob that it could take up to two hours because this will be our first try.

What accessories will we need? Ladders, flashlights, carpentry tools. Royce and Tom should have everything we need, and some things will probably be available on site at the town garage.

Linda will contact the selectboard to be sure we have permission to assess the town garage, leaving the date open until Bob tells us what will work for him.

We’ll use email to confirm that we’ve followed through on these details.

Meeting ended about 8 p.m.
